Tabcorp and Sky Racing are excited to announce the expansion of their current offering to include two new channels due to go live in Autumn 2010.
Sky Racing2 and Sky Racing World will enable greater coverage of Australian racing, expanded coverage of international racing and a superior global Thoroughbred channel. Along with the existing Sky Racing1, the channels will deliver on our customers’ requests for more choice in racing product.
This new venture will create numerous employment opportunities for new roles based at our Frenchs Forest studios in Sydney.

Producer – Sport
Sky Racing is a world leader in multi-venue race broadcasting, telecasting more then 60000 races each year to millions of viewers in Australia and around the globe.
We are seeking an experienced Producer to join our team in the role of Producer – Sport. This position will produce and oversee the broadcast of Tab Sportsbet updates within live racing and also the weekly sportsbetting program to ensure consistency of presentation as outlined in the Sky style guide.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Produce the “John Tapp’s Inside Racing” program.
- Produce Sportsbetting updates into live racing.
- Produce Sportsbet Fever (including any pre/post production required) to ensure programme is in line with Sky style guide.
- Prepare accurate rundowns for the studio.
- Develop, maintain and ensure adherence to the Sky Style Guide.
- Drive and facilitate weekly production meetings with all relevant staff and contractors.
- Drive and facilitate meetings with TAB Sportsbet to plan content.
- Liaise with Racing Manager regarding racing calendars and schedules.
- Liaise with Media Manager – TAB Sportsbet regarding calendars and schedules.
- Forward planning and innovation.
You will work closely with Sportsbet bookmakers, graphics, producers, presenters and studio crews to ensure an entertaining, effective, efficient and accurate on-air production.
To be successful in your application you will have a minimum 3 years in live Television production. You will be able to demonstrate experience with Horse Racing and posses a sound knowledge for Racing and Sport. The ideal candidate will also have an interest in Wagering and journalism experience will be highly advantageous.
