Sky Ringside
Sky Racing pioneered Pay Per View boxing in Australia. In April 1987 ‘Marvelous’ Marvin Hagler defended his Undisputed World Middleweight Title against ‘Sugar’ Ray Leonard in one of the biggest sporting events of the 80’s.
So began a long and successful relationship with Pay Per View boxing from around the globe.
Over the years Sky Ringside has become the spiritual home of boxing as we have showcased the rise and fall ring legends such as Mike Tyson, Roy Jones, Jeff Fenech, Kostya Tszyu and Oscar De La Hoya.
Sky Ringside’s distinctive coverage is superior to any other presentation. All our Pay Per Views are hosted out of the Sky studios and include interviews and boxing highlight packages to ensure our coverage is of the highest quality.
Each event is followed by our popular ‘Canvas Classics’ which are chosen from our massive boxing library. This means patrons stay at the venue long after the ‘live’ event is over, and thus ensures Publicans, who subscribe to Sky Ringside Pay Per Views, are obtaining added ‘value for money’ for choosing our coverage.
Upcoming Fights
Tomasz Adamek v Michael Grant
Tomasz Adamek is fast becoming hot property in the heavyweight division.
Already a two time world champ with title belts at Light Heavyweight and Cruiserweight, the big Polish puncher is now keen to show his ability with the big boys of boxing.
What a time to be a heavyweight.
The division is extremely open, with some accusing it of being the weakest it’s ever been, devoid of genuine talent, with a long line of mediocre lumbering giants holding centre court in what was once the proudest and best known of boxing’s weight divisions.
Hence, Adamek has the opportunity to shine and leap into world title contention.
To do so he must first bulldoze past a fighter who early in his career was labelled the next big thing in heavyweight boxing, Michael Grant. His reputation suffered a demoralising blow when he was destroyed by then world champ, Lennox Lewis but that humiliation only toughened his resolve and since then he’s won fifteen of seventeen fights.
This is clearly ‘Judgement Day’ for both these boxers, with a lucrative shot at the Klitschko brothers awaiting the victor.

Ivan Calderon v Giovanni Segura
‘Iron Boy’ Ivan Calderon has ruled the lighter weight divisions with an iron fist for more than seven years. In that time he’s become a two divisional champ making 18 defences of his world titles.
Although not renowned as a big puncher, what he lacks in power, he more than makes up for in pure boxing ability.
At 35, he’s now at the peak of his powers and will need to be at his best if he’s to overcome the challenge of hot young Mexican prospect Giovanni Segura, who comes in as a late replacement following an injury to Calderon’s initial opponent.
The matchmakers have done Calderon no favours with the introduction of Segura. The Mexican is a big puncher, and a star on the rise, and comes into the fight looking to make the fourth defence of his WBA version of the title.
It’s the clash of two champions in this part unification of the light flyweight crown.
